WATER DREAMING/WOMEN DREAMING

Corrina is a young artist from Alice Springs. She is a Walpiri woman and paints of her traditional home in the Warlpiri lands. The country around Nyrippi and Yuendumu is the southern part of the Tanami Desert and as such a knowledge of water sources is integral for survival in this harsh environment. She paints of a ‘rolling lake’ to the west of Alice Springs, a story that is handed down from her Grandfather on her mothers side.
